[A small advertisement in black and white without an outer frame. A pen drawing at the left shows a young woman in a short-sleeved blouse and shorts standing astride a bicycle, one hand on the handlebar and the other on her hip, her foot resting on a block pedal. At the right a black triangle opens from the pedal like a beam and holds a white detail of a crank with a rubber-covered block pedal, its tread lettered with a word too small to read, and two white arrows pressing down and in. “COUVRE – PEDALES” is set at the upper right in bold sans-serif capitals, with a small line on rubber for bicycles and the slogan in bold italic. The name “PédaWlastic” is lettered in script around a circled “W” carrying the initials “E G”, followed by “C’EST UNE PRODUCTION” in spaced capitals. A black square at the lower left frames a white drawing of the pedal cover, and beside it the firm’s name, Ets. Gabriel Wattelez, stands in bold sans-serif over a heavy rule, with the Asnières address and telephone in capitals. No signature or agency mark can be read; a short pen stroke below the pedal and a tiny white mark in the lower corner of the black triangle are too slight to read as letters.]

[This advertisement shares its unnumbered page of L’Officiel du cycle with advertisements for Gourgaud, Marcel Guillen, Packson, Perry, Cyclometer, Éclair, Durex, Mephisto and A.C.O., each held here as its own record, and others for Le Briochin soft soap, clutch parts from the Consortium des Pièces Standard, Ondulex piston rings, Sodalium regrinding and welding, Deleau parts for Donnet and Simca cars, Morinière repair parts, L’Autocatalogue of motorcycle tuning data, Ramaget leather bags for motorcycles and Genay used radiators and grilles.]
