GARDE-BOUE PATRIARCA
82 à 88 Avenue Tony Garnier
LYON-7 FRANCE
[A wide advertisement in black and white built as a heraldic shield. A dark halftone shield shape, pointed at the foot, stands upright in the center, and a broad dark horizontal band with a notched lower edge crosses it. On the band “GARDE-BOUE” at the left and “ATRIARCA” at the right are set in light, rounded condensed capitals; a large line-engraved drawing of a curved mudguard in light tones, outlined in white and shaded with fine hatching, forms the initial “P” between the two words, so that the name reads “PATRIARCA”. A small light rectangle on the lower part of the shield holds the street address and city in two lines of plain type. There are no other drawings, no artist’s signature and no agency mark.]
[This advertisement shares page 134 of L’Officiel du cycle with an advertisement for Torpedo, held here as its own record.]
