[A ruled advertisement set in type alone, with no drawing or photograph, inside a frame of a thick and a thin black rule. It is printed in two colors. The two marque names stand at the head in very large widely letter-spaced sans-serif capitals in grass green, “YVAN MARIE” on the first line and “OSCAR EGG” on the second, both ranged so that they fill the width of the panel. Everything below them is black. A line of light italic, “Ont une réputation mondiale”, is ranged to the right under the green head, followed by two lines of small letter-spaced capitals and roman about Christmas and the New Year and the range of children’s and Baby machines. A bold sans-serif line about the agents leads to the credit offer, which is the largest black line: “A CRÉDIT” in light sans-serif capitals running into “à partir de 100 FR. PAR JOUR” in the same light face, with the figures set large. A short bold line about the commission follows. The Salon line is set as a row of three parts, “AU SALON DU CYCLE” in bold capitals at the left, the hall and gate in two small roman lines in the middle and “STAND 197” in bold capitals at the right. Below, ranged right, is a small line of spaced italic capitals reading “VENTE EN GROS” between pairs of dashes. The firm’s name, street address, arrondissement and telephone close the panel as one bold line across the foot. No signature or agency mark appears, and no type from the reverse of the leaf shows through.]

[This advertisement shares page 118 of L’Officiel du cycle with an advertisement for the Gravelais-Boudol cyclomoteur engine.]
