ON Y REVIENT TOUJOURS
ou LA PETITE REINE, poème par P. MEYER

[Ebykr summary; the article’s text is not reproduced. The poem is set in eight four-line stanzas, four to each of two columns, and follows a life. A child’s finest dream, a dream of escape and conquest, is to ride proudly on his first bicycle. Making wonderful progress, his ambition has no equal: the future belongs to the bold and he will be king of the pedal. Grown up, he laughs at those novice hopes, though he stays faithful to the bicycle that renders him endless services every day. In the second column he works so hard that he soon saves a little and can buy a car, which he drives good-naturedly. He takes to it, plainly, but the poet exclaims at the metamorphosis: the imprudent man thickens, already stalked by ankylosis. If he has any lucidity, he runs quickly to a Vélociste to regain his agility by becoming a cyclo-tourist.]

[Text only, a verse piece across the head of a page section. The title “ON Y REVIENT TOUJOURS” is set in heavy spaced italic capitals, right aligned, and below it “ou LA PETITE REINE, poème par P. MEYER” mixes lower-case italic, spaced bold italic capitals for “LA PETITE REINE” and a script-like italic for the credit. The poem follows in italic roman type, four-line stanzas separated by blank lines, in two columns divided by a thin vertical rule. No drawing, firm name, address or artist signature appears.]
