NOTES ET CROQUIS

au
Salon

GURTNER.

[A full page of seven pen-and-ink drawings by G. Gédovius, each signed “G.GEDO” (the Gurtner one reading “G GEDO”) in hand-drawn capitals near a lower corner, with a short caption in a sans-serif face set in an open ruled bracket whose arrowheads point at the drawing. “NOTES ET CROQUIS” stands at the head in heavy brush-script capitals inside a long oval, and “Gédovius a vu pour vous au Salon” runs down the left center in large bold italic. The drawings, in close hatching and stipple: at the upper left a Gurtner carburetor with a separate float bowl clamped to a Monet-Goyon frame tube, its fuel line looping; at the upper center a Canetti (Ambrosio) twist grip with clutch lever on a handlebar, with a circular detail inset of its notched mechanism; at the upper right a Sido leather pannier seen from the back, its curved side cut away and strap hanging; at the center right a Var jet key with a long shank and turned handle reaching into a Mobylette engine beside its carburetor; at the right a Novi 55 dynamo, a small bottle dynamo with a knurled roller cap, an oval badge lettered “NOVI 55”, its mounting bracket and a coiled lead; at the lower left the Terrot scooter’s engine cover with its spark-plug cap, release lever and the two ribbed foot pedals of the gear selector; and at the lower right the Scoot Air-Terre-Mer’s front and rear channel sections pulled apart beside the long threaded rod that joins them. The Novi 55 dynamo is the one bicycle part on the page. No “Rebour” or “DR” mark appears; the folio “44” stands at the lower left.]
