★ Les cycles PETIT-BRETON
This is a magazine article, so its running text is summarized here rather than reproduced; the headline, byline, specifications and scores are transcribed as printed.
From L’Officiel du cycle, du motocycle et du camping, 2 October 1954, the paper’s special number before the 1954 Paris Salon du Cycle et du Motocycle, page 147: the survey “Deux-Roues 1955” on the Petit-Breton cycles of the Établissements Pierre Lodenos of Nantes: utility, touring, racing, semi-racing and porteur bicycles and a tandem, and a Vap cyclomoteur. The title, headings, captions and lists are transcribed as printed; the text is summarized in Ebykr’s words, and the page images carry it in full.

★ Les cycles PETIT-BRETON
[Ebykr summary; the article’s text is not reproduced. The editor says that the Établissements Pierre LODENOS of Nantes, by putting their products under the PETIT-BRETON marque, have kept the prestige attached to the name of one of the greatest racing cyclists of all time, whom he does not name. The bicycles that carry the marque are marked, he says, by the union of every improvement that has appeared over the years, the quality of their raw materials, the extreme care given to their machining and their impeccable finish. They are built in all models: utility, touring, racing, semi-racing and porteur, without forgetting the tandem.]
[Ebykr summary, after the photograph. The Établissements LODENOS also make a very handsome cyclomoteur with a Vap engine, shown in the photograph above.]
[A text article under a heavy bold sans-serif headline that opens with a star and reads “Les cycles PETIT-BRETON”, the marque name in capitals. Two paragraphs of roman text sit below it, the second beginning with an indented line, and the last line of the first reads “tation.” and the second ends with “dem.” A halftone photograph set in from the left margin and ending short of the right margin shows a cyclomoteur in side view on a dark floor against a pale backdrop, with the front wheel at the left and the rear wheel at the right. It has a pale-rimmed front wheel with fine spokes, curved handlebars with a small headlamp, a long frame tube, a large engine casing with a rounded cover low between the wheels, a saddle, a rear carrier over a fender and a kick stand. The photograph has no caption. A closing two-line paragraph of roman text beneath it names the Établissements LODENOS. No artist signature or agency mark shows.]
