[A ruled advertisement in a thin single frame. Across the head “SUSPENSION DE SELLE” is set in condensed capitals with a smaller line beneath it, and “LIBERTY” stands at the right in very large heavy capitals. The left side carries bold lines of lowercase and capitals divided by short rules, the inventor’s name “P. PATRE” in large shaded slab capitals and the Paris address in light roman. At the right a line drawing shows the top of a bicycle frame with a seat tube and a sprung saddle support, a coiled spring on each side of a clamped column and a saddle nose at the top of the column. A bold italic line and a line of spaced bold capitals close the panel. There is no artist signature.]

[This advertisement shares its unnumbered page of L’Officiel du cycle with advertisements for Mulin, Cycles Singer and CAMCL, each held here as its own record, and others for Omega sewing machines, Burgala sewing machines, the Neva sewing machine, La Courroie belts and Radior sewing machines.]
