[A wide advertisement in black and white. At the left a halftone photograph shows a rider’s leg in close view, the trouser wrapped in a clear plastic sleeve that gleams in highlights beside the machine. “le Gaucho” is written large in pale brush script reversed out of a ragged black brush stroke across the upper right. Below it “Modèle déposé” sits in small roman, the product name in spaced condensed sans serif capitals and the uses in condensed sans serif stepped to the right. Between rules a two-line note in a bold slab face describes the material, and the maker’s name “ATOMITEX, Fabricant” and the Paris address and telephone close the panel in bold extended type. The house number and the last figure of the telephone are blurred in the print and cannot be read with confidence. No signature appears.]

[This advertisement shares page 130 of L’Officiel du cycle with an advertisement for La Vipère, held here as its own record, and others for VAR footrests for cyclomoteurs, Usai clutch discs, the FAC trailer and Gambier magneto tools.]
