HALL DU CYCLE : Stand 285.

[A ruled advertisement in black and white, framed by a double-weight line, with a line giving the stand set below the frame. The agency mark “PubliCycle” appears in the upper left corner in small script on an underlined cartouche. “LAM” spans the head in very heavy slab-serif capitals, with a drawn bow and arrow crossing over the letters and large scroll flourishes at the ends of the bow. Beneath it, “50 ans d’expérience Renommée mondiale !” is lettered in a flowing brush italic. A large black circular arc sweeps down the left side and curls back at the right, ending in an arrowhead that points at a ruled box holding a bulleted list in italic type, with the brand names in bold. Around the box are pen-and-ink line drawings of the products: at the upper left a caliper brake with its arch marked “SUPER-DURAL” and “LAM” and two brake shoes; below it a brake lever with a “LAM” plate and small lettering reading “BREVET VITTORIA N° 837625”; below that a single brake block marked “LAM” with stars; and at the right a cantilever brake mounted on a fork with its cable, drawn against a wheel. The maker’s name and address are set in heavy condensed capitals along the foot of the panel. The signature “P. Abrioux” is printed in tiny italic at the lower right, just below the frame.]

[This advertisement shares page 221 of L’Officiel du cycle with an advertisement for Le Bison, held here as its own record.]
