Il re del Tour. Fausto Coppi, capitano della squadra italiana al Giro di Francia, ha ancora una volta sbalordito il mondo sportivo per la facilità con cui ha sbaragliato tutti gli avversari nella durissima tappa delle Alpi che comprendeva le aspre scalate della Croce di Ferro, del Galibier, del Monginevro, e del Sestrière. Dopo l’eccezionale impresa, i competenti lo hanno riconfermato il più forte atleta che il ciclismo abbia mai avuto. (Disegno di Walter Molino)
