IDEALE DUNLOP

SALON DU CYCLE PORTE DE VERSAILLES STAND No 5

[A wide advertisement across the foot of the page, in a black rule frame. At the top center a fine engraved drawing of a saddle seen from the right side and slightly above: a smooth molded top with a row of rivets along the skirt, a small oval “IDEALE” name plate at the rear, a round badge on the side lettered with “DUNLOP” and further small words that are only partly legible (“USINES”, “FABRIQUÉ”, “D’APRÈS” and a word ending “-ASTIC” can be made out), and twin wire rails below. Two small ruled boxes at the upper left and upper right list the model numbers. The names IDEALE and DUNLOP are set in very large, roughly inked black capitals across the width, with the slogan in italic on a curve between them and the saddle. A ruled band at the foot carries the Salon, the place and the stand number. No signature or agency mark. Type from the reverse of the leaf shows strongly through the paper.]

[This advertisement shares page 80 of L’Officiel du cycle with advertisements for CLB, Roll’s and Elté, each held here as its own record.]
