[A ruled advertisement in black and white, inside a plain black rule. “LES SELLES” heads the panel in letter-spaced shaded slab-serif capitals. Under it is a line engraving of a sprung leather saddle seen from the left and slightly above, the nose at the left and the cantle at the right: the leather top is worked in dense fine stipple that reads almost black, the two coil springs and the clip at the rear are drawn in bright line with the light caught along their tubes, and the maker’s oval badge is shown on the flank, lettered “FABRICATION FRANÇAISE” round the top, “HENRI GAUTHIER” across the middle, “MARQUE DÉPOSÉE” round the foot and the model mark “G 17” in a small circle below. The three marques follow in very large heavy condensed sans-serif capitals, “HENRI GAUTHIER” filling one line and “LIONRONE – WHITE-STAR” the next. A light sans-serif word, a line of large sloping script and a short heavy rule come below them, then two more lines, one in bold sans-serif and one in bold italic, and the panel closes with “Matière Plastique” in large letter-spaced light sans-serif across the foot. No address, telephone number or stand number is given, and no signature or agency mark appears. No type from the reverse of the leaf shows through.]

[This advertisement shares page 138 of L’Officiel du cycle with an advertisement for J. Baron, held here as its own record, and others for the Fonlupt-Sport cyclomoteur and the Excellette cyclomoteur.]
