[A ruled advertisement in black and white, a tall panel inside a thin rectangular border, with no address or telephone line. “LES SELLES” is set across the head in slanted shaded capitals. Below it a bicycle saddle is drawn in fine line engraving, seen from above and to the side with its nose at the left: the top is cross-hatched in fine parallel lines, a long oval badge on its surface carries “FABRICATION FRANÇAISE”, “HENRI GAUTHIER” and “MARQUE DÉPOSÉE” with a small oval holding “G17” beneath, and the underside shows bent wire rails, a clamp with a nut and two end fittings. Beneath the saddle the maker’s name and two saddle names stand in very large heavy condensed capitals. Lines in plain lowercase, slanted script and bold type follow, divided by a short double rule, and the last line, “Matière Plastique”, is set wide in large light roman type. No artist signature or monogram is visible.]

[This advertisement shares its unnumbered page of L’Officiel du cycle with advertisements for Tank and MDL, each held here as its own record, and others for Merat seats for vélomoteurs and motorcycles and the Alma vélomoteur.]
