[A ruled advertisement in black and white, framed by a thin line border at the top, left and bottom, with its right side running into the column rule. Two line-engraved drawings fill the left half, one above the other, each showing a caliper brake mounted on the lower end of a fork crown and blades. The upper brake is a broad arched caliper with a threaded adjuster and cable-anchor barrel on top, a spring bar across the crown, two hexagonal-nut pivots and a pair of block-shaped brake shoes, the arch bearing the stamped letters of the brand. The lower drawing shows a slimmer arch caliper in heavier black shading with a cable stop and adjuster rising at the right, stamped lettering on the arch and a shoe holder below. At the right a column of text is divided by short horizontal rules into three groups: “RANDONNEUR” in bold italic capitals with its description in light capitals, the firm’s name “E. MOREAU et Cie” in tall condensed bold capitals followed by the address and telephone in lighter type with “LYON” in spaced capitals, and the name “C.L.E.M.” in large light capitals between quotation marks followed by its description and the finishes in bold italic type. A ruled line closes the panel at the foot. No artist signature or agency mark is visible. A narrow strip of the column rule shows along the right edge.]

[This advertisement shares page 136 of L’Officiel du cycle with an advertisement for Sturmey-Archer, held here as its own record, and one for Biplex and Aurora seats and carriers.]
