CLEM SPECIAL
[A ruled advertisement in black and white, a wide panel with a heavy black border. The heading “FREINS C.L.E.M” runs across the top in very large heavy capitals with full stops. At the left a side-pull caliper brake is drawn in halftone line engraving on a fork crown and stem, its arch lettered “CLEM” and “SPECIAL”, with a cable adjuster at the top and two brake blocks at the lower ends. At the right a brake lever with its long curved blade and clamp is drawn against a few strokes of handlebar. Between them “Tous Modèles” is set in italic type, then the firm’s name in heavy capitals, the street address in bold italic, the city in large capitals and the telephone line in italic. No artist signature or monogram is visible.]
[This advertisement shares its unnumbered page of L’Officiel du cycle with advertisements for L’Emboutissage Industriel, Marvel, Ad-Hoc and JOO, each held here as its own record, and one for the New-Map trailer.]
