[Design: a ruled frame. “FREINS C.L.E.M” runs across the top in heavy sans-serif capitals, the initials larger, with no point after the final “M”. At the left is a shaded drawing of a C.L.E.M side-pull caliper brake mounted at a fork crown, its arch lettered “CLEM” and “SPECIAL” (a small star or ornament before “CLEM”), with the cable adjuster and pivot bolt at the top and two shoes in their holders. At the right is a drawing of a brake lever clamped to a handlebar, the long curved blade hanging down to the bottom of the frame. The text is centered between the two drawings, “Tous Modèles”, the street and the telephone line in a light italic sans-serif and the firm and town in bold capitals. No signature or agency mark found.]
[This advertisement shares page 36 of L’Officiel du cycle with advertisements for Argaud, La Pitchoune II, Birdo, La Perle, Strong and Fiducia, each held here as its own record, and others for Merat seats for vélomoteurs and motorcycles and J. Bonnefoy cream separators.]
