Jean Robic et Le Guilly viennent de rattraper le maillot jaune Schaer et l’Espagnol Lorono dans l’ascension du Tourmalet. Tassé sur son vélo, le regard fixé à la roue du Breton, Schaer sera dans l’obligation de capituler. Seul, Le Guilly accompagnera Robic jusqu’au sommet. A Luchon, le Suisse cédera son maillot à « Biquet ».
