[A small ruled advertisement in black and white, a rounded rectangle split into a light panel at the left and a dark band along the foot. In the light panel a thin outline figure of a running man is drawn in line work with two arrows pointing right, one lettered “Marque” and one “Déposée”. Beneath it “L’ARPENTEUR” is set in heavy capitals with a tall initial L, followed by the street address and the Paris district in spaced capitals. At the right a bicycle saddle is drawn in shaded wash, seen from the front with its cover peeled back to show the stitching and an inner layer, set against horizontal speed lines. Across the dark band “Dessus de selle” is lettered in a white script, and below it two lines of white sans-serif capitals state the service. No artist signature or monogram is visible.]

[This advertisement shares page 17 of L’Officiel du cycle with advertisements for IRM, Mulin and IEP, each held here as its own record, and others for the Flector quick pump connector, a printing price request and Metwar sewing-machine needles.]
