[A ruled advertisement in black and white, taller than wide, with a thin black border. The heading “CALE-PEDALE” is set across the top in tall condensed capitals. Below it a black band holds two drawings in reversed white line: at the left part of a clock face with the numerals XI, XII, I and II and the two hands standing close together near twelve, and at the right a large pale shoe sole shape tilted upward, carrying a small square plate drawn with a zigzag pattern, rivet dots and a hinge line, and the weight “20 GR” in hand-lettered script above it. The name ARCHAMBAUD stands in very large heavy capitals below the band, with a black strip beneath it reading “RECORD DE L’HEURE” in reversed italic capitals, a pale curved loop breaking through the strip at the center. The street address, metro stop and telephone line are set in bold roman type at the foot. A smudge of ink runs along the top edge of the black band. No artist signature or monogram is visible.]

[This advertisement shares its unnumbered page of L’Officiel du cycle with advertisements for the Guiflex camping kit, the M5 inflatable mattress, sport shoes from the Comptoir de Petits Fabricants, M.C.B. camping gear, Alpcan sleeping bags and down vests and the Pigeon camp stove.]
