[A ruled advertisement in black occupying most of a page, built round a pen-and-ink drawing signed “Rebour” at the lower right, the signature of Daniel Rebour, its initial letters run together. “En côte” opens in a large black brush script. “Le Spirax” follows in tall sans-serif capitals, the “S” formed by a coiled spiral spring set within a lozenge, all running uphill on a slant over a black band; the descriptive lines climb the same slope in white and black capitals. Below, in the black field, the drawing shows a folded mountain road map, its contours and spot heights finely lettered, with a magnifying circle enlarging a pass and its hairpins and the labels “Col du” and “Table d’Orient…”, a guidebook numbered “77” with a small map of France on its cover, and a touring cyclist in dark glasses and a short-sleeved jersey riding toward the viewer with a rolled bag strapped to his handlebar, drawn in strong line and hatching against ruled shading. “Adoptez-le pour vos randonnées” runs under the drawing in bold sans-serif capitals over a heavy rule. The agent’s name, Éts William Dumont, and its Paris address close the panel in spaced roman capitals and italic, with the trade terms in light sans-serif capitals. Several of the small map figures are too fine to read with certainty.]

[This advertisement shares page 60 of L’Officiel du cycle with advertisements for André Bertin and Torpedo, each held here as its own record.]
