[A full-page advertisement printed in two colors, black and a deep magenta, on a plain ground. At the upper left the figure “1955” stands in white heavy numerals on a black rectangle, and beside it three lines of spaced magenta capitals read as the firm’s slogan. Across the head the name “MAGNAT-DEBON” is drawn in large magenta capitals with a white inner outline, set between two thick magenta bars and crossing a round emblem of a globe, whose ring carries the words “LA MARQUE” over the top and “DE QUALITÉ” under the foot; two slim pointed wings sweep out from the globe beneath the lettering. Below this a broad black band slopes down from left to right like a road, with white speed lines along its upper and lower edges. On it a frieze of five small figures is drawn in white line and solid shapes: at the left a woman in a short-sleeved dress cycling on a bicycle with a rear carrier; next a woman riding a scooter; then a man riding a motorcycle with a woman seated behind him; then a man in shirtsleeves on a small motorcycle; and at the right a man in a helmet and jacket crouched over a larger motorcycle. A magenta panel, tilted slightly to the left and backed by a black drop shadow, overlaps the band at the center and holds the model list in black type, each heading in widely spaced bold capitals with its capacity and type in a lighter weight and short dashes between the entries. The show notice, the star ornament and the sales-room address are set in magenta capitals at the lower right, with the street line in a bold lowercase face. No signature or agency mark is visible, and no text from the reverse of the leaf shows through.]

[This advertisement shares page 84 of L’Officiel du cycle with an advertisement for the Cyclorêve cyclomoteur and vélomoteurs.]
