RIVA-SPORT INDUSTRIES

STAND 46

[A full-page advertisement printed in black line engraving with the lettering in magenta, on an unruled sheet. Eight machines are drawn in a loose zigzag down the page, each in a detailed line-and-hatching style with solid black tires and shaded fittings. In the left column from the top are a pedal-assisted machine with a small engine under a teardrop tank, a child’s bicycle with two small stabilizing wheels at the rear, a second pedal-assisted machine with a small engine beneath the frame, and a motorcycle with a dual seat and a rear spring unit. In the right column from the top are a lighter pedal-assisted machine with a long tank, a second motorcycle with a headlamp and a raised rear carrier, a large machine drawn in heavy black with a fully enclosed engine cover and a round striped tank panel, and at the foot a lightweight road bicycle with drop handlebars and a leather saddle. The firm’s name “RIVA-SPORT INDUSTRIES” runs on a rising slant across the middle of the page in bold sans-serif capitals, and “STAND 46” in the same lettering falls on a descending slant lower down. Small lettering on the machines is too fine to read. No artist’s signature and no agency mark is visible.]
