[A green map of France dotted with 11 cream discs, each naming a member wholesaler and its towns, fills the right two-thirds of the front cover below a black brush-stroke band carrying the masthead. A black shield at the upper left of the map holds the group’s name, a green block at the left of the map lists its machining work, and the slogan, product list and closing line run beneath in green and black; dashed green arcs complete the discs where they overhang the coast or the frontier. The green left-hand column carries the founder and honorary director lines, a white-outlined inverted triangle emblem enclosing a black chainring and three white pictograms of riders on two wheels, and the issue’s three cover lines. Faint mirror-image shapes at the upper left of the map area are show-through of the Peugeot lettering on page 2.]
