[A wide advertisement across the foot of the page, in a black rule frame. At the left a halftone of a domed cycle bell with a small cross-shaped mark on the dome, a round “Elté” plate on its striker lever and a handlebar clamp with two bolts. At the right an engraved drawing of the pedal protector: a ridged metal plate with a serrated edge, stamped “PROTEGE Elté” and “BREVETÉ S.G.D.G.” on its face, with a second plate and a clamp bolt behind it. The headline runs in bold script across the top; the product names are in heavy sans serif capitals and the name “Elté” in large script between quotation marks at the center. The maker’s name, trade and address run in a band at the foot. A tiny engraver’s mark of three or four letters, perhaps “E.D.V.” [?], is printed just below the base of the pedal-protector drawing; it cannot be read with certainty. No agency mark. Type from the reverse of the leaf shows through the paper.]

[This advertisement shares page 80 of L’Officiel du cycle with advertisements for Idéale, CLB and Roll’s, each held here as its own record.]
